Life at VO is all about waterfront living, an active community, and making lifelong memories with family and friends. From October through April, the community comes alive with activities, events, gatherings, and entertainment for all ages. Whether you’re relaxing by the water, enjoying one of our many amenities, or attending a community event, there is always something happening at Venture Out. VO has always been a place centered around community and family traditions — many owners remember coming here as children with their grandparents, and now they are bringing their own grandchildren to experience the same special memories and laid-back Florida Keys lifestyle.
VO Giving back to the Community
One of the things that makes life at VO so special is our strong sense of community and giving back to the Florida Keys. Throughout the year, our residents proudly support several local organizations that help children and families in need. One of those organizations is Camp Care Inc., a wonderful nonprofit that provides year-round programs, physical activities, therapy support, and community opportunities for children and individuals with special needs and their families. VO residents also support Kids Come First, an organization dedicated to helping local children by providing school supplies, clothing, hygiene items, holiday gifts, and other necessities for families needing a little extra support. Many members of our community participate in Christmas gift drives, food pantry donations, and support efforts for the local women’s shelter. At Venture Out, community is more than just where we live — it’s about neighbors helping neighbors and making a positive difference in the Keys we all love.
Social Clubs at VO
Life at VO is filled with fun, friendship, and activities for just about everyone. Our community is home to many active social clubs that help bring neighbors together throughout the year. The Boat Club hosts exciting Water Fun Days in the marina, fishing tournaments, TGIF parties, and community dinners. The Tennis Club keeps busy with cookouts, tennis clinics, TGIF gatherings, and dinners, while the Pickleball Club and Bocce Club also host regular social events and friendly competition.
VO is also proud of its creative and community-focused groups. The Actors Guild puts on a wonderful community play each year for two nights only — always a favorite event of the season. We also have a Choir, a Church Group, and an Amateur Radio Club, giving residents many ways to connect, volunteer, socialize, and enjoy the active lifestyle that makes Venture Out such a special place to call home.
V.O. Committees
Venture Out also has a strong network of volunteer committees that work alongside the Board of Directors to help oversee and maintain the many aspects of running a large gated waterfront community. These committees give residents an opportunity to get involved, share their knowledge, and help improve the community for everyone. Some of the many committees at VO include Real Estate, Maintenance, Safety & Security, Technology, Website Content, Finance, Landscaping, Personnel, Grant, Rules & Regulations, Recreation, Block Advisors, Risk Management, and Architectural Review. The dedication and volunteer spirit of our residents play a major role in helping keep Venture Out one of the most active, welcoming, and well-maintained communities in the Florida Keys.
